Episode 23: Strangers on the Shore

Episode 23: Strangers on the Shore

Zorath’s Plan
Zorath’s plan to rid the world of billionaires is as pragmatic as it is chaotic. Under the cover of night, they scatter the billionaires across remote corners of Aitutaki, ensuring no one can lean on the others for help.

Elon’s Arrival
Elon Musk wakes up on a rocky beach, disoriented and still in his rumpled shirt and trousers. He stumbles into a nearby village and approaches a group of fishermen.

“I’m Elon Musk,” he announces.

The fishermen exchange skeptical glances. “Right. And I’m Superman,” one replies dryly.

With no ID, no phone, and no wealth to validate his identity, Elon is dismissed as just another out-of-luck tourist.

Bezos’ Predicament
Jeff Bezos finds himself in a bustling marketplace, mud caked on his once-polished shoes. He approaches a fruit vendor.

“Do you accept USD?”

The vendor laughs, shaking their head. “Why would we need your paper here?”

Bezos attempts to barter, promising grand returns if they “just trust him.” The villagers mutter about scams, and one elder quips, “He can’t even pick a ripe mango, and he wants us to believe he’s important?”

Zuckerberg’s Challenge
Mark Zuckerberg stumbles out of the jungle, covered in bites and looking utterly lost. When he tries to talk to villagers repairing a boat, his robotic tone makes them wary.

“Who is this guy?” one mutters. “He’s not from here, that’s for sure.”

Zuckerberg’s talk of “networks” and “platforms” only confuses them further. He’s mistaken for someone delusional and left to his own devices.

A Series of Arrests
Tensions rise as word spreads about strange foreigners claiming to be billionaires.

  • Musk is caught drawing maps in someone’s backyard.
  • Bezos is detained after a loud argument over the value of cash.
  • Zuckerberg is arrested while carving binary code into a coconut.

The police, thinking they’ve apprehended a group of con artists, throw them into a small, overcrowded drunk tank.

The Revelation
Days later, the villagers begin to suspect there might be truth to the billionaires’ claims. The elders hold a meeting, debating whether to help or leave them to their fate.

“They’ve destroyed the planet with their greed,” one elder says. “Why should we lift a finger?”

Another counters, “If we teach them humility, perhaps they’ll leave better people—or not return at all.”

The Isolation Begins
Released but shunned, the billionaires are left to fend for themselves. Without survival skills, they struggle to find food, build shelter, or even communicate. The villagers occasionally watch from afar, amused at the billionaires’ helplessness.

A Glimpse of Humanity
Gradually, moments of humility and humanity emerge:

  • Musk, after several failed attempts at innovation, learns from the villagers how to use simple tools.
  • Bezos uses his organizational skills to divide tasks, but only after a child mocks him for being “useless at fishing.”
  • Zuckerberg finds solace helping repair boats, and one elder tells him, “Connection doesn’t need code; it needs heart.”

The trio begins to reflect on their privilege and how their actions have shaped the world.

The Transformation
The episode ends with the billionaires sitting around a fire under the stars. For the first time, they feel the weight of their isolation—and the possibilities of change.

Musk mutters, “Maybe we needed this.” Bezos nods thoughtfully, and Zuckerberg carves a heart into a coconut.

In the background, the villagers laugh, sharing stories under their own firelight, a community that thrives on simplicity and shared effort.
