Episode 23: Strangers on the Shore

Zorath’s Plan

Zorath’s strategy to neutralize the billionaires is pragmatic and chaotic. Under cover of night, Elon, Jeff, and Mark are scattered across remote corners of Aitutaki, ensuring they cannot rely on each other—or their wealth—for survival.

Elon’s Arrival

Elon Musk awakens on a rocky beach, disoriented in rumpled clothes. He wanders into a nearby village, approaching a group of fishermen.

“I’m Elon Musk,” he announces.

The fishermen exchange skeptical glances.

“Right. And I’m Superman,” one replies dryly.

Without ID, phones, or money, Elon is dismissed as just another stranded tourist.

Bezos’ Predicament

Jeff Bezos finds himself in a bustling marketplace, mud caked on his polished shoes. He approaches a fruit vendor.

“Do you accept USD?”

The vendor laughs.

“Why would we need your paper here?”

Bezos attempts to barter, promising grand returns if they “just trust him.” Villagers mutter about scams, and one elder quips:

“He can’t even pick a ripe mango, and he wants us to believe he’s important?”

Zuckerberg’s Challenge

Mark Zuckerberg stumbles out of the jungle, bitten and bewildered. His robotic talk of “networks” and “platforms” confuses the villagers repairing a boat.

“Who is this guy?” one mutters. “He’s not from here, that’s for sure.”

He is mistaken for delusional and left to fend for himself.

A Series of Arrests

As rumors of strange foreigners claiming to be billionaires spread, tensions rise:

  • Musk is caught drawing maps in a backyard.
  • Bezos is detained after a loud argument over the value of cash.
  • Zuckerberg is arrested while carving binary code into a coconut.

The local authorities, convinced they’ve apprehended con artists, toss them into an overcrowded drunk tank.

The Revelation

Days later, villagers begin to question the strangers’ claims. Elders convene:

“They’ve destroyed the planet with their greed. Why should we lift a finger?”

Another counters:

“If we teach them humility, maybe they’ll leave better—or not return at all.”

Isolation and Survival

Released but shunned, the billionaires must fend for themselves. Lacking survival skills, they struggle to find food, build shelter, and communicate. Villagers watch from afar, amused by their helplessness.

Gradually, glimpses of humility and humanity appear:

  • Musk learns basic tools from villagers after repeated failed inventions.
  • Bezos organizes tasks, but only after a child mocks him for being “useless at fishing.”
  • Zuckerberg finds satisfaction helping repair boats, guided by the lesson:

“Connection doesn’t need code; it needs heart.”

The Transformation

The episode closes with the trio sitting around a fire under the stars. For the first time, they feel the weight of their isolation—and the possibilities for change.

Musk mutters, “Maybe we needed this.”
Bezos nods thoughtfully.
Zuckerberg carves a heart into a coconut.

Nearby, villagers share their own stories under firelight, thriving on simplicity, collaboration, and shared effort.
